PKF Shiodome Welcomes Two New Tax Partners

PKF Shiodome welcomes two new tax partners, Shusuke Hirano and Akinari Tsuchiya to the firm.
Shusuke Hirano, CPA, CPTA, PhD has recently joined PKF Shiodome as a Tax Director. His career started in 1982 in Showa Audit Corporation (now Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC). He provides accounting, audit and consulting services for listed company representative of Japan. Since then, he has been a Senior Partner of Shinbashi Audit Corporation for 27 years from 1987 to 2014, providing audit services to many clients. In 2008, he established Kyodo Tax, Co. as a Senior Partner, and provided tax services to clients of various sizes from medium-sized to large companies. In 2018, his company merged with Shiodome Partners Tax Corporation and he became a Senior Partner. He has been involved in audit, IPO, and tax duties for many years. He also serves as a qualification examination commissioner of JA Group (an agricultural cooperative of Japan) and a member of the government office.
Akinari Tsuchiya, CPA (Japan/US) has recently joined PKF Shiodome as a Tax Partner. His career began by joining an auditing firm, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, a member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, engaging in auditing of listed companies. In 2012, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong/China and worked as a manager of the Japanese business development department which supports overseas expansion of Japanese companies in Hong Kong and China. In 2015, he established Lockhart Accounting Office and started to provide accounting, tax and human resources services for foreign companies in Japan. At the same time, he established an outsourcing company in Manila, Philippines. In 2019, his company merged with PKF Shiodome Partners Tax Corporation and he became a Senior Partner providing international tax advisory services to multinational companies. He also manages his own team.
